We asked our 10.º B and 10.º E students to rate Orson Welles's Citizen Kane (1941), just like users in IMDb (Internet Movie Database) do. As we speak, IMDb users have rated Citizen Kane with an 8,4 average score (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0033467/ratings?ref_=tt_ov_rt).
Students were also asked to comment on the film (vide comments section).

ResponderEliminar7: The topic of this film was the only thing I liked. It was well thought but at the same time it was a little boring and monotonous. The filming is not as good as I thought it would be although it was a long time ago. Not my favourite movie ever watched at all.

9- Loved the way that the camera was always focused, the soundtrack and the plot were amazing, and i also liked the way that the film was build around 'Rosebud'. However, I think we are too young to fully understand the meaning of the movie.

ResponderEliminar10: I loved the plot. It had the perfect end for that story. "Rosebud" is really a memorable word, with a certain musicality for someone's last words, and it has an amazing meaning. It also makes us understand that the little things in life can also be the most important. We can observe that the director showed us clues during the entire film too, making it frustrating for us, because we didn't understand it at that point. It's really interesting movie.
ResponderEliminarGood camera angle and good plot. Great theme, however, it's not my style.
ResponderEliminar8: It was confusing at the beginning but everything made sense after we found out the meaning of 'Rosebud', it was like " Playing with a jigsaw puzzle" and that's one of the things that I liked about the film. However, it was a bit boring. I think we're too young to understand all the meanings of the film
