So,
I hope you’ve already seen the consensus Best Film of 2019/20. Is it just me or is it not a coincidence
that the movie of the year comes from Asia (South Korea, to be more
accurate), it’s called Parasite and it’s about a family or
families in a house!

"Parasite" is an incredibly cruel and realistic suspense film and the first non-English-language film to win an Oscar.
ResponderEliminarMy opinion about the film is that it deserved all the recognition and prizes awarded, it is a completely different story and with a fascinating and frightening plot-twist. In a way, this film at some point made me question my values and put myself in the place of the characters, managing to feel in my skin what each of them felt.
"Parasite" is a brilliant film who definitively deserved the awards received, it had an amazing emotional buildup with high moments of tension, drama and an absolutely shocking plot-twist that left us all speechless!
ResponderEliminarThis year, the movie “Parasite” has won four Oscars, and we can’t deny that this film was brilliant from the start. It’s amazing how we can learn about different cultures and still enjoy a movie that’s as thrilling and exciting as this one. Bong Joon Ho did a great job in mixing lots of different genres (thriller, comedy, drama, etc.), making the scenes more fun and enjoyable.
ResponderEliminarParasite is a tale of two families from opposite ends of the society. We first meet the Kim family,in their underground basement home, hunting for stray wifi and leaving their windows open to benefit from bug-killing street fumigation. They have nothing but one another.
ResponderEliminarThen we have an architectural wonder perched high above the slums of Seoul, with views not of urinating drunks but of luxurious lawns, this wealthy house is everything the Kims’ dream about.
It is a gut twisting, upstairs-downstairs film that explores every available rung on the ladder of class aspirationalism, but in the end of the story development,Bong Joon-ho movies tend to end where they begin, and this one is no different. The world appears unchanged, but they are no longer the same. Despite the unspeakable horrors each character has witnessed, the world still spins, unmoved by the preceding events.

ResponderEliminarParasite is an incredible movie that not only has beautiful pictures and an amazing cinematography, but can also make the audience think about capitalism and class stuctures showing the best and the worst of both high and low classes. It's a movie that also presents the South Korean culture and made me look at Korean cinema in a different way, making me want to get to know more about it.
"Parasite" distinguishes itself by being a brilliant satire of two families, higher class and lower class, divided by capitalism. The director,Bong Joon Ho,made the audience feel the benefits and detriment of each class, while simultaneously showing us the reality in South Korea and it's culture. This cinematic piece shows it's "true beauty",in my opinion,in the end because of this truly amazing plot-twist.
