Quiz Cinema 2019/2020 - The February Oscars Prediction Challenge

Similarly to last year, Quiz Cinema's February question is a different one. IT'S PREDICTION TIME! Students will have to predict the winners at The Oscars ceremony. The scoring is also different: students will get points for guessing the winners in 6 categories. We will go again with the so-called Big Five Academy Awards categories: Best Picture, Director, Actor, Actress and Screenplay (either Original or Adapted). Sorry to all Brad Pitt fans!

Mª Leonor Barbosa (12.º C) and Alexandra Tavares (10.º E) were the winners last year, with 17 points. António Costa was the best teacher, with 12 points!

Here are the six categories:

- Best Picture: 7 points

- Best Director: 5 points

- Best Actor in a Leading Role: 3 points

- Best Actress in a Leading Role: 3 points

- Wrting - Original Screenplay: 1 point
- Writing - Adapted Screenplay: 1  point

This means that each contestant can win up to 20 points. If you do the Grand Slam (meaning, if you get all six categories right), you will win a Bonus of 5 points, which is to say that 20 = 25.
